Gzdoom s 3d floors add a lot of functionality to your maps if you re looking to stray away from the limitations of classic doom and expand your maps to something more like quake level design.

3d floors or extra floors are an editing feature supported by some doom source ports which allows the designer to make free standing or room over room platforms.

Now set sector f s floor height to 112 and it s ceiling height to 128 and set both floor and ceiling textures to rrock11 and set f s light level to 176.
Then create a dummy sector outside of the map.
You can shoot through solid 3d floors but not through non solid ones.
This does not work for the vavoom type.
To make the 3d floor tag the sector the 3d floor is supposed to be in.
Then select one of the linedefs set the line special to 281 281 is the linedef code for a solid opaque 3d floor and tag it to sector c.
This tutorial is aimed at intermediate mappers that understand sectors linedef actions dummy sectors visual mode and 3d space.
Next select one of the linedefs fo the dummy sector and give it the line action 160 sector set3dfloor define the tag and then leave the remaining paramters as their defaults.
